In reading about the Mandelbrot fractal I discovered a presumed error, can anyone confirm?
From the transcript: "It's basically a series that is being tested for complex numbers in the complex number plane for every point. And for those [points] where the series is diverging you paint it black and where it's converging you don't."
This should be the other way around: for every point where the series is converging you paint it black.
Who cares right, and maybe the color is pretty arbitrary anyway! :P
Very good article Sav, covers the whole range of topics and gives some directions if the reader wishes to pursue things further. From your blog I can see that you are interested in conciusness and sensemaking. May I recommend a book (if you have not seen it already ) from Julian Jaynes:
'The Origin of Consciousness in the Breakdown of the Bicameral Mind', it will shed more light on 'What is conciusness?' subject. Good work, keep it up!
Sav, you did a good job....I am really happy to see young talented people being real PIONEERS.
Apparently Canada has lots of talented youth, like you or Curt Jaimungal
Thank you for this!
